The story of the Singh's and the Deimos family begins in the 1400's around the birth of a young boy into a family named Finn. The parents (Aignéis and Marcas Finn) named the boy Ciaran. The family lived in a relatively poor area of their town of living, Kilglass in Sligo (Ireland). He received no proper education until he ran from home and lied his way into a new family, a pure-blood british one, the Witherspoons, at the age of 11.
Henceforth he become well educated, though mostly on his own account, and the Witherspoons, who had no son or child of their own were glad to have him as an ersatz, as he was eager to help in the household and at an early age of 15 worked on the streets to further the income of the family, which was middle-class and without worries - but it was the experience that they were eager to see. By 19, Ciaran had a proper job as a blacksmith in their town of living, in Salford.
To understand how Ciaran came to come from Kilglass to Salford, one has to understand the nature of his ersatz parents. Both Witherspoons delighted contact to the upper class, and spent every spare penny living like their idols, which also included trips 'round all of England (at the time, Ireland was under English control). They had happened to be on a trip to the Kilglass area when Ciaran ran across them.
Unlike other children, Ciaran's focus was intellect, never playing. Sometimes, it worried his 'parents', but mostly they let him be. Fact is, though, that with a tender 21 years of age, Ciaran came into contact with magic, via a Sinti called Divya. Divya taught him the basics of healing magics after he insisted bugging her about it and it got him endlessly curious.
Exactly how he eventually got into contact with black magic is unclear, however, he left the Witherspoons and his job at the age of 24, joining a group of Sinti in their travels. Had he stayed in Salford, his want to educate himself in matters of magic would have quickly caused frustations - but travelling helped him gather information from many sources. He became obsessed with the possibility of using greater magic, irritated that his own genetic make-up made it impossible for him to successfully utilize his magic of the more powerful magics.
At the age of 28, Ciaran knew how to heal, curse, summon daemons, alter time, split space, shapeshift, morph, read minds, cast illusions, invade dreams, alter thoughts and emotions and was only several educational steps away from creation. Of these, he could actually, in a limited manner, use his healing knowledge, basic morphing knowledge, and mindreading ability.
With 29, Ciaran's enthusiasm was replaced with a grouchy attitude full of spite towards real witches and magicians, most of which did not match up to him in knowledge, but which simply could do more due to their blood. It was then that he chose to use his wit and charm to aquire what he did not yet have.
At 32, he killed a girl named Adrasteia, a witch appearing the age of 21 when in reality she was a good 250 years old. At 35, a sorcerer followed, and thereafter another two witches when he was 42. I'll spare you the exact gorey details and too much of a mental image and simply say that at that time, he was fully capable of doing everything his knowledge theoretically enabled him to do, and he spent the next two years looking into immortality.
Successfully.
It was then that he returned to his family, the Finns, in Ireland, only to nurture them until they died a natural death, making sure they always had what was neccessary to live.
After Aignéis and Marcas had died, he went on a Sinti travelling trip, this time through all of Europe, as far north-east as Finland, and south-west as Spain. He settled down in Valencia, where he introduced himself to the local authorities as Ciaran Taika-Tessaro. He had picked up the two names making up his fictional surname from Finland and Italy, Taika being finnish for magic/spell and Tessaro meaning as much as 'weaver' in the italian tongue, quite fittingly making his name to translate to "Black Magic Weaver".
Before Napoleon came to occupy Spain in the 1800's, Ciaran left the country for the United Kingdom. From 1919 to 1921, he fought in the Anglo-Irish War on the side of the english, though not on the battlefield, but rather in regards to secret negotiations and economy.
He moved back to Salford in 1931, where he lived in an appartment for several weeks before realising Salford was not what it used to be - and managed with skill and healthy amounts of money to, instead, buy a piece of land for mansion in Manchester, in the new area of Wythenshawe.
He met Branwen Argall whilst hanging around on Victoria Station - she was looking around for her uncle, who was supposed to pick her up. It was 1935 and she was 21 at the time. Her uncle never turned up and Ciaran offered to pay a hotel for her in exchange for her adress. The excess flirting worked and in the end, the two became an odd couple. It turned out her uncle had been a victim of an IRA bomb at the time, hence why he couldn't show up - it was a great shock to her and her parents, but they recovered with time, and her parents found Ciaran delightful.
Despite the age difference, they married in 1937, adopting the name Taika-Tessaro.
Branwen's first child, Tamara Taika-Tessaro, was born on the 9th of August in 1938. The second child of the couple was a daughter, too, whom they called Natalia Taika-Tessaro, born on the 16th of July in 1939. Maybe the couple would have had a few more kids, but when World War II broke out, Ciaran freaked and did everything to stop the family from being a larger target than neccessary. The thought of losing anyone in his family was terrible to him at the time. 1942, he shared his immortality with Branwen, freezing her at the age of 28.
None of the family died as result of the war - they were rarely even tangentially touched by it all, primarily, London was the goal of the germans, rather than Manchester, and that alone was a great advantage for them to have. Their mansion wasn't ever damaged, miraculously.
Natalia met Aaron Singh at the age of 24 in 1963. Tamara took longer finding her soul-mate, Zayn Deimos, ten years later (1973) at the age of 35.
Natalia and Aaron, who married as Singh, were destined to have only one child, in 1971. Aaron and Natalia had already chosen his name pre-birth, calling him Krishnan. During her pregnancy, though, Natalia had a fall out with Ciaran, who came to firmly believe it was her that had taken the Soul Fuser Kit from him, when in fact it had been Branwen who gave it to Tamara (without knowledge it was Ciaran's, due to the nature of her discovery aswell as some badly made lies from Ciaran's side), who it turn gave it to Zayn Deimos who became the Forger.
Natalia was cursed not only to die at childbirth, but to birth a panther instead of a human child. Amazingly, a magician ended up found in time to stop the child's death by starvation, giving him, instead, the ability to change to and from the two shapes more or less at will, though he was doomed to spend some time in his panther shape.
Aaron died a good fifteen years later, again due to Ciaran, who still blamed and continues to blame the Singh family for the theft. What became of Krishnan is not well known at all.
Tamara Taika-Tessaro and Zayn Deimos married, adopting Zayn's family name as their own. In 1972, they had their first child, Sylvain Deimos, whom they educated in a rather conservative but thourough manner. Since the family was rather wealthy, Sylvain much inherited some of the british snobby attitude that is such a trademark of that nation. In 1975, Lucia Deimos was born, followed by Quentin Deimos in 1976, which happened after Tamara and Zyan decided they had enough children, but it did not make them love Quentin any less.
In 1994, however, Lucia and Quentin vanished on consecutive days, Lucia on the 6th of April, and Quentin on the 7th, though he had not come home the day before - he'd been at friends over the night, but did not return. He'd been documented to having been there, though. Following these two events, Tamara Deimos fell into severe depression, committing suicide in September of the same year, leaving Sylvain and Zayn behind.
2005, with Zayn having reached an age of 58, a vampire followed Sylvain home, where he slaughtered his father and turned Sylvain into one of his childer.
Unbeknownst to Sylvain, Lucia's fate had been similar on the 6th of August 1994, also casting her into the realm of the undead, as a childe of Remy's. Sylvain's sire died soon after his act of brutality, though Sylvain regrettably does not know why or when exactly - he merely knows he is now sireless.
Notably, though, Quentin is still very much human - he had run away rather than being forced from his family, being bisexual rather than heterosexual (much like Sylvain, however, Sylvain found no need to openly flirt with boys like Quentin, hence had no difficulty hiding it from his parents, nor any paranoia), and thus having issues with the conservative lifestyle of the family.
Whereabouts Quentin is, these days, is hard to tell. As he is definitely still alive, though, and well, it's probably nothing too abusive a situation he's gotten himself into.
